Session Services.
Session Services establish and maintain communications with various host systems or other
information servers. Session Services are comprised of session-level host access objects
that can interface with host applications and other servers using SNA terminal protocols,
TCP/IP, direct transactions, ODBC, and other methods as appropriate.
Host Integration Services.
Host Integration Services form the bridge between server applications and Session
Services. Comprised of a powerful array of programming interfaces and class libraries,
Host Integration Services accelerate the development of any application, from terminal
emulation viewers to host-leveraged e-business applications.
Management Services.
Management Services provide centralized, enterprise-wide management of every desktop and
application requiring host access. Management consoles include a wide variety of
facilities such as configuration and software distribution, as well as on-demand
deployment of web-based Viewers and custom applications to end users.
Secure Access Services.
Access Security Services provide encryption, user authentication, access control, and
secure firewall traversal, allowing secure communication with remote offices, employees,

Host Print Server (Option).
A server-resident application, the Host Print Server provides centrally managed,
distributed host printing that uses existing network printers.

The e-Vantage Host Access Server also manages custom e-business applications running on
the server or as distributed applets. Both Java/CORBA and COM/DNA applications are
supported, in any combination.
Other Desktop Applications.
With the addition of the Desktop Management Option, the e-Vantage management console can
