Multithreaded Asynchronous Execution

CONNX supports over 70 native RMS datatypes, and performs bi-directional data
conversion for data updates and retrieves.
Field Redefinition
The CONNX data dictionary supports the redefinition of the same physical field in a
record to multiple fields with different data types.
Table Redefinition
The CONNX data dictionary supports multiple record layouts of the same RMS file, based
on a "record type" field.

Fast Joins, Fast throughput
CONNX has turbo charged its proprietary RFFA (RMS Fast File Access) Technology,
resulting in faster multi-table joins, and an increase in speed when performing searches
on non-keyed fields and rotated arrays.
Fast CONNX Data Dictionary
The CONNX data dictionary uses the Microsoft Component Object Model (COM) format,
resulting in fast access to information in the data dictionary, and
Rotated Arrays
The CONNX unique Rotated Array Technology makes manipulation of large arrays
simple. CONNX accomplishes this by returning each column of the array as a separate row.
Mass record definition imports
CONNX Import multiple record layouts directly from COBOL FD(Field Definition) files,
Digital Common Data Dictionaries, Powerhouse PDLs, and formatted RMS Text files.
Security
The CONNX CDD utility now supports setting up field and table level security by group
as well as individuals.
Views
CONNX supports the creation of views, which facilitate hiding table relationships from
the end user. CONNX views facilitate the creation of heterogeneous joins between multiple
databases.
Wizards
CONNX includes a Data Dictionary Wizard that greatly reduces startup time, and truly
provides instant access to your data. CONNX also includes application wizards for
Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, Crystal Reports and Impromptu.
RPC (Remote Procedure Call)
Command Execution
CONNX provides an RPC mechanism that allows remote execution of batch jobs and
applications from a PC.
