FULL SQL SUPPORT

Supports ODBC SQL (Insert, Update, Select, and Delete). Supports group by, distinct, aggregate (AVG, MIN, MAX, SUM, and COUNT), and all sub-string, string, date, conversion, and math functions. Nested inner and outer left/right joins are supported, as well as sub-queries and correlated sub-queries. CONNX also supports Unions and Insert/Select.

COMPATIBILITY

CONNX works with any OLE DB or ODBC compliant application and has been tested with 32 bit versions of Microsoft Access, Microsoft Studio, including Visual Basic/C++ etc., Seagate Reports, Delphi, PowerBuilder, Impromptu, Lotus Approach, and I.Q. Support for ADO and ASP (Active Server Pages).

ODBC ASYNCHRONOUS EXECUTION SUPPORT

CONNX supports the 32 bit model and true 32 bit threads for each SQL Statement being executed. This feature makes it possible to have a query running in the background while performing other meaningful work.

DATA CONVERSION

CONNX supports bi-directional conversion for all DataFlex data types.

FAST JOINS, FAST THROUGHPUT

CONNX has turbo charged its proprietary DFFA Technology, resulting in faster multi-table joins, and an increase in speed when performing searches on non-keyed fields.

FAST CONNX DATA DICTIONARY

The CONNX Data Dictionary uses the Microsoft Component Object Model (COM) format, resulting in fast access to information in the data dictionary, and fast queries.

SECURITY

CONNX respects all existing database security. The CONNX CDD utility supports setting up field and table level security by group, as well as individuals. CONNX also supports row level security with CONNX Views. Additionally, the CONNX Data Dictionary is encrypted to secure sensitive information.

VIEWS

CONNX supports the creation of views, which facilitate hiding table relationships from the end user. CONNX Views facilitate the creation of heterogeneous joins between multiple disparate databases.

WIZARDS

CONNX includes a Data Dictionary Wizard that greatly reduces start-up time, and truly provides instant access to data. CONNX also includes application wizards for Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, Seagate Reports and Impromptu.
