Desktop software and hardware inventory
NetWizard Plus compiles desktop software and hardware inventory information
through a variety of methods including system files, application headers and DMI (Desktop
Management Interface) records, taking an accurate snapshot of each system.
Software distribution and installation
When NetWizard Plus performs a software distribution, it sends only the relevant data,
unlike some products that send entire applications and run Setup at the desktop. In this
way, NetWizard Plus minimizes impact on network bandwidth while granting administrators
more granular control. And in the event of network or some other failure, fault
tolerance and recovery enables NetWizard Plus top pick up an installation where it left
off. Or, its powerful distribution rollback feature lets you undo previously executed
distributions and returns all involved workstations to their conditions if desired.
Usage metering and license administration
NetWizard Plus maintains detailed software usage records, whether programs are launched
from network servers or desktops. And when configured to do so, it will intervene when
licensing parameters are violated by either sending a warning message or prohibiting
launch of the offending program.
Remote control
From NetWizard Plus' central management console, administrators can take control
of any desktop in the enterprise - effectively seeing what the user sees, which is a big
advantage when troubleshooting. This capability also makes it possible to directly
edit desktop resident files and registries as well as interactively chat with the end
user.
Unlimited scalability
Since large enterprises often support thousands of desktops spread across dozens
or even hundreds of locations, NetWizard Plus employs an architecture that supports an
unlimited number of branch nodes - including nested nodes - making it easily
scalable to any enterprise.
Network independence
Some desktop management systems limit themselves to certain types of networks, But most
large corporate networks involve several different topologies. Thats why NetWizard Plus
